WELCOME TO THE UNITED STEELWORKERS UNION!
Last September, thousands of Pitt staff voted yes to form a union with the United Steelworkers (USW). Since then we elected Bargaining Committee representatives and began negotiations for our first union contract. We’re negotiating vital issues that impact Pitt staff every day. Achieving a first contract takes time, but our goal is to get a contract as quickly as possible and ensure Pitt staff get the raises, benefits, and protections that we deserve.
Learn more about being in a union.
We’re holding informational sessions to discuss the basics of being in a union, where we’re at with bargaining, and what you can expect in the coming year.
This is your opportunity to meet members of our Communication and Action Team (CAT), Bargaining Committee and USW Staff.
